Welcome to the NEW p-i-l-a-t-e-s Blog!

Hi all,

Just new to blogging but so keen to get things up and running, so who's for  a serious jog..

SO what to talk about in the pilates world ....so many things lately...

1. Lets start with the quality of the teaching courses, hmmm,  most courses average around $5000 to do a standard Pilates teaching course that includes equipment.

In my day (1998) I  did my initial training through Body Control Pilates in London. What I would say about this organisation is that their attention to detail whilst gaining the up to date latest information what a fantastic way to start as a new student learning the fundamentals of core stability and basic rehabilitation, a great BCP style of Pilates,  this course was a fantastic grounding course before I commenced a more serious take on the method.

As I started to travel around the world through 1999 - 2003 I discovered many different forms of Pilates in America and Stott in Canada ( i was so freezing in Toronto when i went to the Stott Pilates studio for the first time i had so many coffees to warm up I was shaking before I began my first breathing exercise on the Cadillac, I felt so sorry for my instructor! ) But it was great, travelling, doing Pilates, travelling, doing Pilates....

Its a long story.... but tag along, I will tell you more of my adventures as we go but for now answer me this....
